Furnitury delivery charges and policy.

Here at the RSPCA Bury, Oldham & District we survive on the sale of goods donated and although we are unable to collect donations and ask that you do not leave donations outside any of our shops when closed, we are still able to make deliveries of furniture sold either from one of our stores or online (when listed).

Our deliveries are conducted in a Covid-19 compliant manner and all delivery drivers wear appropriate PPE and follw strict protocols when making deliveries to your home.

At this time we are unable to take donations from you, unless pre-arranged when we deliver goods and drivers have been instructed not to take ANY items that have not been arranged with the Branch ahead of time and thank you for your understanding.

Furniture delivery Policy

Delivery is to the front of the property or the outer door if a flat. 

We are not able to provide an installation service at this time and cannot enter your property.  All goods will be delivered as pre arranged and left at the outside of the property.  We will announce the delivery at the time and you will be required to be in when the delivery is made.

 

All delivery costs will vary upon location, item to be delivered and an extra requirements (excluding installation)

All deliveries will be subject to a £10 minimum delviery charge, paid for at the time of the purchase.

 

Delivery Costs:

  • Small items (e.g. Coffee, small bedside cabinet)  from £10
  • Medium items (single sofa) from £15
  • Larger (3 piece suite) from £20

 

Please note that the higher delivery charge will apply if more than one item, but less than three is purchased for delivery.

 

Additional charges:

  • Additional items (more than three) £5 per item
  • Saturday premium upon request – £5 surcharge

 

Payment and collection/delivery:

Items of furniture can be reserved without payment for 24 hours

After 24 hours, payment is required, or items will be made available for sale again

If items have not been collected/delivered after 7 days of purchase, we reserve the right to return the goods for sale,   You can recieve a refund up to 30 days after payment with a valid reciept or credit card transaction slip.  After 30 days has passed payment will be treated as a donation to the Branch.

We cannot accept payments in installments, we will not swop furniture and nor do we accept deposits for items.

 

Customer responsibilities:

Before purchasing any goods, please ensure you either measure the entrance to oyour home and the room that the item is going into to guarantee that it is a suitable size and will get into your property or room.  We will supply measurements if purchasing online or via a closed store via a window sale.

Ensure all widths and diagonal depths of your new furniture measure less than the dimensions of your homes entry points. e.g doorways, side gates, hallways and stairways.

Take into account objects such as bannisters and turns, radiators and light fittings.

 

Delivery Terms and Conditions:

Items must be delivered within 7 working days of purchase.  Should you not be able to accept delivery within the 7-day period than a storage charge of £5 per day will be incurred.  If delivery is delayed due to a failure on our behalf, than the storage fee will be waived, but no compensation or discount will be offered/awarded.

When arranging delivery, it is the customers responsibility to notify us of any parking restrictions or any restrictions to the access to the front of the property.

Our delivery at present is to the front of the property, we will not remove doors, gates, windows etc to get the goods into the property, we are not permitted to enter any property.

If the customer is not in at the arranged time/day of the delivery the goods will not be left and taken back to our storage facility.  You may be charged storeage and a new delivery charge may be incurred.

If a collection of goods has been pre-arranged, it is at the drivers discretion to accept the goods or not.  All goods collected must be from outside the property and in a saleable condition.

Drivers do not carry cash, cannot accept cash and cannot deliver to any other address other than specified at the time of arranging the delivery, we are also unable to take any items to a recycling centre on your behalf.
